Minit-Tune & Brake Auto Centre Proudly Supports the CKNW Orphan’s Fund

Minit-Tune & Brake Auto Centre is constantly looking for new opportunities to support our community. We strongly believe that giving back to the programs and activities in our neighbourhood is what drives growth and ensures everyone has an equal opportunity. That is why we are proud to support the CKNW Orphan’s Fund. Each October and November, Minit-Tune & Brake Auto Centre donates a portion of our customer’s receipts to this valuable organization.

Over the past few years, we have donated over $200,000 to this very important cause—and now it is our turn to encourage others to do the same. With your support, more children can receive the care, privileges and education they deserve to have. These less fortunate children can have a better future with help from our community, so let’s reach out and help all we can.

What is the CKNW Orphan’s Fund?

The CKNW Orphan’s Fund promotes the health and welfare of mentally and physically challenged as well as disadvantaged children in the BC area. Over half of the organization’s funding comes from contributions made by local businesses, listeners and other organizations in the area. The funds raised by this group help:

• Make life easier and brighter for children who are less fortunate
• Offer specialized equipment and special needs care to children who are mentally or physically challenged
• Support over 100 local institutions, organizations and agencies that entertain over 3,000 special needs children
• Grant scholarships to colleges and universities in the area to help young, deserving children and single parents earn a better living

How You Can Help

There are plenty of ways you can help support the children of the CKNW Orphan’s Fund. Just a few ways to help support this valuable cause include:

• Attending one of the many events hosted by the CKNW group for fundraising
• Donating on the CKNW website
• Getting an oil change in Vancouver at one of the Minit-Tune locations in October or November
• Bringing your vehicle in for auto repairs in Surrey or to any of our locations
