Kelowna’s 11th Annual Dragon Boat Festival is Making a Splash
There’s no better way to close out the last few days of summer! This year’s Kelowna Dragon Boat Festival will take place on August 27th and 28th at Tugboat Bay in Waterfront Park, Kelowna, BC. A premier summer boat festival that takes place annually in Kelowna, the event attracts hundreds of people, including participating team members, entertainers, and the public at large. Awards will be presented near the Beer Garden towards the end of race day on Sunday, August 28th.
The Kelowna Dragon Boat Club (KDBC) was established in 1999 to promote fun and fitness through the sport of Dragon Boating. The KDBC provides a venue where everyone from beginners to intermediate paddlers can learn and train. Each Dragon Boat team consists of 20 paddlers, a drummer and a steerer.
Join the Paddlers Party on the evening of August 27th from 5-7 p.m. for a Pasta Dinner from La Cucina Ristorante. Enjoy a meal consisting of meat or vegetarian lasagna, focaccia bread, Caesar salad, dessert, and a drink.
